New Mental Health Facility Being Built...

in Terrace.

I want to applaud Northern Health and the Province of BC.

They have just begun construction of a new "state-of-the-art" mental health facility in Terrace which will service the surrounding area as well. This facility will provide "long-term rehabilitation and recovery programs for adults living with serious and persistent mental illness."

Prince George is in desperate need of this kind of facility. I believe this would be an amazing addition to a converted youth treatment facility at the Youth Containment facility (and a newly built women's treatment facility).

I will be going into more detail on my website in the next couple of days on how we can make this happen and why this means so much to me.

I ran for Prince George City Council because I was passionate about the items I was talking about and working to improve our city. Although I was not successful, the issues are still important to me and they still need to be addressed.

These issues, if left, will only continue to grow and affect our city.
